Transição ESG | União Europeia impõe novas exigências à comunicação ambiental dos produtos
By September 27 this year, companies must be prepared to adjust the way they communicate the environmental characteristics of their products in accordance with the European Union’s new rules.
At stake is compliance with Directive 2024/825, regarding consumer empowerment for the green transition, which aims to protect consumers from misleading commercial practices based on unsubstantiated environmental claims.
The directive’s objective is to combat greenwashing and the abusive use of false expressions with ecological and environmentally friendly connotations in product descriptions.
To help companies identify potential non-compliance risks in the way they publicly communicate their products and services under the new rules, the digital platform diretivas.eu was developed in Portugal. The platform allows business owners and managers to assess whether their websites, product pages, labels, or advertising materials comply with the new legal requirements.
By using this tool and submitting the company’s website, users will receive an assessment regarding compliance with these rules.
Prepare your company to meet this requirement.
