Be@t – Bioeconomy in the Textile Industry
The be@t project aims to drive the transformation of the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Industry by promoting a more innovative, sustainable, and circular value chain. The project focuses on the development of new traceable textile materials and products of biological and renewable origin, with lower environmental impact, as well as advanced and sustainable production processes. At the same time, it promotes eco-design strategies, textile reuse, collection, and recycling, encouraging circular business models, strategic partnerships, and greater awareness of sustainability and responsible consumption.

Objective
The main objective of the be@t project is to generate and consolidate a truly innovative, sustainable, and circular National Textile and Clothing Industry value chain through the development of eco-friendly materials, advanced technologies, circular economy strategies, and responsible production and consumption practices.
